Advisory Boards for Small Businesses
Does the idea of having a board of advisers make sense to you?
Would you be able to gain knowledge and take advantage of other peoples experience if you had an advisory board that was dedicated to your success? Boulder Business Advisory Boards are designed to do just that for your business at a fraction of the cost of an outside board of advisors.
What do you get from a Boulder Business Advisory Board?
-
Experience: Learn from others who have already been-there and done-that.
-
Knowledge: Just sitting and listening to the discussion around the table is like getting a crash course in how business really works.
-
Pride: Helping others – and then hearing about their success is a wonderful feeling of being able to give back a little.
-
Friendships: Many board members form lasting personal friendships through the board meetings.
-
Continuity: Board members often remain on the advisory boards for several years.
-
Confidentiality: All members of the group sign a confidentiality agreement and members are chosen from non-competing businesses.
-
Opportunity: Board members give each other leads that are better qualified and generally better matched than a typical ‘Leads Group’.
-
Cost savings: Boulder Business Advisory Board members pay a fraction of what an outside Advisory Board would cost.
None of us know all the answers or have had all the experiences we would like to have. Yet, the CEO of another company may have faced exactly the challenges you are facing and may know just what to do. Problem is, you have no way of meeting that person and learning from that person in a safe – non-competing environment. Boulder Business Consultants is going to change that for you with Boulder Business Advisory Board.
We bring together 10 to 15 CEOs, Business Owners and Senior Managers in a once monthly advisory board. We choose the members of our boards so there is no competition between members (If you own a bakery, there will not be any other bakery owners on your board). That way, when you discuss business situations, you do not have to worry about giving away secrets or strategies to your competitors. The members of the board agree that they are there to help each other and that the information and topics discussed at the meeting are confidential. Eric Omer (Boulder Business Consultants) will chair the meetings to ensure that everyone who wants to discuss a situation has a chance and so that the meeting stays on track and on schedule.
Meetings are either 1/2 day or full day in length. Meeting locations are hosted by the members of the group on a rotating basis. Cost per individual is less than it would cost to hire a single consultant for the same period of time. Yet when the groups are up and running, you have 10 or more individuals who are dedicated to helping you succeed, just as you will be dedicated to their success.
